RECEPTIONIST: Good morning, City Sports Centre. How can I help you? CALLER: Hi, I'd like some information about becoming a member. My name is Sarah Whitfield, that's W-H-I-T-F-I-E-L-D. RECEPTIONIST: Thank you, Sarah. We have three membership types: the basic plan at twenty-five pounds a month, which covers the gym only; the standard plan at thirty-eight pounds, which adds the swimming pool; and the premium plan at fifty pounds, which includes all classes as well. CALLER: I'm mostly interested in swimming, so the standard plan sounds right. Is the pool open every day? RECEPTIONIST: Yes, from six in the morning until ten at night on weekdays, and from eight until six at weekends. Oh, and the pool is closed for cleaning on the first Monday of every month. CALLER: Good to know. Do I need to book an induction? RECEPTIONIST: Yes, all new members attend a free induction. The next available session is on Thursday the fourteenth of March at half past five in the evening. You'll need to bring a passport photo and proof of address. CALLER: Perfect, please book me in. Can I pay the first month today? RECEPTIONIST: Of course. With the standard plan there's also a one-off joining fee of ten pounds.
